One of my favorite country singers, Carrie Underwood, has impressed me again, but this time it wasn’t with her musical talent! The Oklahoma native has proven again that there are still decent people in world when she donates $1 million for the relief efforts in Oklahoma after the state was devastated by tornados earlier this week.
Carrie Underwood released a statement regarding her generous donation and said that with the help of her fans who came out to see her shows, “we can offer the Red Cross a little extra help in comforting those affected by the recent tornadoes.” The donation was funded by her “Blown Away” tour which ended last night in Canada. If you would like to help those effected by the tornados in Moore, Oklahoma you can make donations to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army. Make sure to only make donations to reputable relief funds, people are sick and they do take advantage of disasters like this one!
